Leidos is actively hirng for a Consulting Employee to work as a Systems Engineer with our team in Colorado Springs, CO.

We are seeking a systems engineer to provide wholistic support to the Systems Engineering team as we enhance the current Missile Warning system and provide leadership as we pursue future opportunities in our area. This position would be responsible for the supporting internal process development, transforming engineering data, reviewing technical and non-technical documents, and facilitating capture events for future opportunities.

This position will report directly to the Chief Engineer.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide support to the System Engineering team responsible for the program management processes, requirements, architecture, and data management.

• Analyze and transform data from existing state into easily format that is easily ingestible by Cameo System Modeler.

• Assist in the execution, coordination, control, and integration activities which include: configuration/change management, technical baseline change management, test and evaluation, systems integration, and development of DO delivered artifacts.

• Coordinate schedule activities with Systems Engineering Team, Government, Third-party contractors, and any stakeholders to ensure timing and sequence of events

• Support Engineering Change Proposals and other capture activities for this and future contracts.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s with 10 years of experience or Masters with 8 years of experience; additional years of directly applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree

• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

• Experience developing and maintaining internal processes that support program execution and operations of engineering projects.

• Extensive knowledge of capture and proposal methods and techniques, to include facilitation of the various events associated with customer engagements, white paper development, and the full opportunity life cycle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in associated field

• Experience with missile warning and missile warning defense

• Excellent project, technical, interpersonal, presentation and problem management skills

• Ability to communicate orally, and in writing, detailed technical information on troubleshooting and implementation efforts

• Past experience with large scale capture opportunities over $500M.

This is an hourly position estimated at $62.50 an hour
