Leidos Software Integration Engineer in Elgin AFB, Florida

Description

Leidos has an immediate opening for an experienced Software Integration Engineer on the Systems Engineering & Integration Contract (SEIC), supporting United States Air Force (USAF) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Mission Planning. The selected candidate will join a high performing team supporting a significant and fast-paced program with a worldwide userbase. This program is focused on creating new mission planning capabilities and modernizing current platforms while sustaining the fielded operational systems. The engineering team includes engaged subject matter experts (SMEs) providing leadership and expertise to identify and propose integrated, releasable solutions to clients, engineers, testers, and end users. The ideal candidate must possess high energy and be extremely proactive in collaborating in a fast-paced environment with a very diverse set of stakeholders. The environment demands the ability to quickly establish solid working relationships with coworkers and customers to effectively integrate into a complex technical program with many moving parts and schedules. The candidate must be able to handle classified materials and be proficient in working across all classification tiers, distribution levels, and releasability requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be energetic, organized, eager to learn and comfortable working & speaking in a collaborative team environment. Core responsibilities include:

  • Working with a peer team to provide integration testing of various Mission Planning software products from multiple developer teams

  • Creating & testing Windows Restore Images in support of mission planning products

  • Creating Virtual Machine (VM) environments for internal SEIC test activities and for cloud based (remote user) test activities

  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of a “VM Farm” in preparation for, and execution of, test events

  • Directly interfacing with Government customers in reference to integration tasking and status

  • Developing, testing and distributing Mission Planning Baseline products

Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Level Security Clearance

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience

  • Familiarity with JMPS mission planning software

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 2016/365 and Text Editor (Notepad++/Beyond Compare)

  • Knowledge of virtualization software (VMWare, Hyper-V, V-Box) and virtualized server networks

  • Experience with Disc Mastering Software (ImgBurn, Roxio) and Compression software (WinRAR, WinZip, 7-Z)

  • Experience with Scripting (.bat, .cmd, .psh), Encryption, & Hashing (Encryption Tools, hashing algorithms)

  • Understanding of Windows Installation concepts to include silent install, Windows Command Prompt, PowerShell, Hard Drive Imaging & Formatting, Windows Drivers/Updates, and Windows/Application Logs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with software test methodologies at Graphical User Interface (GUI) level

  • Knowledge of Graphics Editing tools & practice s(Snip/Sketch or similar)

  • Familiarity with Video Teleconferencing solutions (MS Teams, Zoom, Skype)

  • Experience with collaboration tools (Atlassian Tool Suite of Confluence, JIRA, JIRA Align)

  • Familiarity with Database Editing & Research (MS Access, SQL Server)

  • Proficiency with current Microsoft Windows Versions (Win 10, soon Win 11, Windows Server)

  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat/PDF manipulation tools

  • Familiarity with automated testing tools (Test Complete)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
