Job Description:

The Avionics and Electrical Technicians are responsible for performing maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles

in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturer's Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Service

Bulletins, Service Letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices and other data acceptable to or

approved by the FAA. The Avionics and Electrical Technicians are thoroughly familiar with all tools and equipment, including

inspection aids, used within their assigned area of responsibility. The Technicians will record all work performed on the

appropriate maintenance record. The Avionic and Electrical Technicians perform their tasking as Avionics and Electrical

technicians within 14 CFR Part 145.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Avionics and Electrical Technicians include:

• Reports to the assigned lead

• Properly executes the duties assigned

• Performs maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in

the manufacturer's ICAs, SBs, service letters, ADs, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or

approved by FAA

• Properly records the work performed in the appropriate maintenance record

• Performs all other duties assigned

• Flight Simulator maintenance support

Basic Qualifications

H.S. Diploma or Eq. 2 yrs. A/C Elec Maint.

Familiarity with computerized maintenance software, FAA A&P current or within 90 days, FCC license with radar, U.S. passport,

U.S. driver's license

Applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or

similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in

selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.

This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.

The Leidos Avionics and Electrical Technicians will have at a minimum a repairman certification under 14 CFR Part 145.
