The National Security Sector is currently seeking a SAAS Supervisor for the ASP/TSA program at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.

Job Description: Report directly to the Project Manager. Plans and accomplishes inventories of all stocks; managing, coordinating, and controlling requirements, receipt, issue, transfer, location change, disposition of ammunition, turn-in residue, ammunition components and packing materials; and providing technical assistance and guidance in using automated Standard Army Ammunition System (SAAS) system.

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the planning and coordinating of ammunition inventory activities necessary to insure the proper carrying out of the overall inventory functions.

  • Directs causative research on stock record balances not agreeing with inventory counts.

  • Provides detailed comparisons from available information sources to include historical records and SAAS transaction files.

  • Uses available resources to resolve errors and determines cause of discrepancies and adjustments required to bring stock records into agreement with inventories.

  • Directs preparation of various ammunition transaction documents pertaining to receipts, issues, location changes, turn-ins, shipments, and maintenance and inventory adjustment of ammunition items.

  • Reviews data input, reports, change packages, day-to-day operations, etc., and makes recommendations to resolve problems.

  • Verify the accuracy of inbound/outbound paperwork.

  • When required, uploads inventory data, runs reports and provides supply technical advice on stock record control operations to co-workers and customers.

  • Monitors pending receipts/shipments and maintains overall operational awareness of activities within the ASP/TSA.

  • Assists in management and accountability for all ammunition, missiles/rockets, residue, components and packing materials stored at the ASP and TSA.

  • Responsible for all stock control procedures and SAAS documentation which include: the scheduling of reports; archiving files; storage files maintenance; input; and output.

  • Provides technical assistance in using the various programs in order to maintain a complete and accurate database.

  • Maintain hard copy files of supply transactions, voucher numbers, causative research, adjustment documents, documents, document register, and other records related to ASP operations.

  • Collects data and provides reports as required. Use various computer operation systems/programs (MS-Windows; MS-Office) to enhance administrative capabilities, and development of unique databases and spreadsheets for management of munitions stocked, issued, and received by the ASP.

  • Provide SAAS automated system training for new users. Cross-train ASP personnel on the proper operation of the SAAS computer system; as well as other authorized software applications.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in ammunition stock control operations and ammunition supply operations; with experience in munitions supply point operations and procedures within the past five (5) years.

  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.

  • Must have a minimum of a secret security clearance.

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of ammunition accountability and operations.

  • Must be capable of input and retrieval of data from Stock Control System and have the ability to generate/produce data and reports needed for all required operations.

  • Must remain current with new and changing functions of the SAAS system and must train on new supply systems as directed by the Army if SAAS is replaced or modified.

  • SAAS Supervisor must have a thorough knowledge of read/write capability through the SAAS Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS)..

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SAAS systems account with approved DA Form 2875 (System Authorization Access Request (SAAR)) through the United States Government.

  • Must be able to be successfully cleared via DA Form 7708 (Personnel Reliability Screening and Evaluation).

  • The SAAS Supervisor must be fluent in speaking and writing the English language.

  • Must be a US citizen and able to be issued a USG Common Access Card (CAC).

  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to complex issues.

  • Commitment to outstanding customer service, both internal and external.

  • Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to make connections with customers in writing.

  • Experience resolving complex issues utilizing external resources and escalating internally when appropriate.

  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to maintain a consistent on-site schedule.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs

Pay Range:

Pay Range $42,250.00 - $76,375.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
